Can anyone tell me what the 35mm equivalent of the zoom lens on the Canon Powershot A710 IS is. I've tried most of the reviews including the Canon web site with no joy. I'm looking for a smaller digital than my Canon 30D to carry round on hill walking trips and was looking at the Canon s80 but apart from Ebay there is nowhere to get one (it seems). The A710 IS is my next choice but the s80 lens started at 28mm which I would prefer.

PS: If you want the S80, it's in stock with Amazon:

Cheers Chris,

Unfortunately for some reason Amazon seem to want more than 150 more than the RRP - I would very much like one but not at that extortionate price.

How does 386.79 (including p&p), for the S80, seem?

That's the price with Dell:

Difficult one, Chris. Will have to sleep on it. I'm still tempted by the 28mm as opposed to the 35mm widest setting. Perhaps I'll have to join the Ebayers.
