Can anyone help me with a christmas poem that I can't rememer the title to? I believe it is edward lear, but it might not be. It is a nonsense/children's ryhme about a king who is writing a christmas list and the common line within the poem is something like:
"and I would truly like some nuts and a knife that really cuts, but above all, I would like a bright red, bouncy, india rubber ball...."
SOrry it's vague. I heard it read on radio 4 last christmas and wanted to do it with my kids this year, but can't even find the podcast.
Perhaps I ought to explain that the other name is my emergency name as I have ditched SS2 ..but can still use SS2 on my laptop for some reason...anyway we are one and the same I can assure you ...all the best once again to you and yours.xx
Hi shaneystar. Suddenly all becomes clear. Thanks for you help too, I have started reading this to my children and we are going to try and learn it as a party piece for the festivities!
