clinical needs for having front teeth crowns replaced

my nhs dentist is doing root canal work on one of my two front teeth which are both leaking is it when they leak it can maby make you feel a bit off colour which i do .I just dont understand if iam having pain with them which i am and they say that there very decayed will i have to pay privatly to have them done or will i mayby get them on the nhs? many thanks

Sometimes it never causes problems, but if it is "leaking" as you say, then you must have an infection. Have they given you antibiotics?
You can get root canal and crowns on the NHS. I believe it costs the 3rd tier price that NHS charges are now ie �190. Privately would cost hundreds.
When you have had root canal, this usually weakens the tooth greatly, hence the need to put a crown on.

Unless you qualify for 100% free dental work, even NHS patients have to pay.

hi angel cake i have had antibiotics for it and it has been sealed
there is still a really tender painful spot up above it high in the gum if i touch my face around it really hurts also the next front tooth has starrted wiv the same problem. i no i will pay to have them sorted ,just hope it may be nhs charges instead of private ones
