I was at the Cenotaph in Whitehall on Sunday. It's an unforgettable experience.

What they don't show you on television is all the marksmen on top of the buildings in Whitehall and overlooking Horseguards Parade.

This is a sign of the times we now live in, but isn't it a shame that it's necessary?

And do the Roayl Family wear body armour?

i was there too -just behind tony blair! i took a picture on my phone of a copper fallin a sleep,its sooooooooo funny.Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Also there are hidden amongst the crowd all over the place , plainclothes bodyguards - my father-in-law was one such person, and they are inconspicuous, but always armed and always on the ready. Of course they don't look big and beefy cos they are not.
