Cymbidiums are probably one of the easiest orchids to grow......the flower loss that yours had was probably the result of shock.....from moving it from one place (usually a nice bright greenhouse) to a darker room with central heating and a dry atmosphere.
Cymbidiums are fairly undemanding and once it is acclimatised to its new setting, it will flower again. However, to get the best from them, a cool greenhouse or conservatory is ideal. Failing that, a cool, bright room away from direct sun and radiators.
Keep them moist at all times and feed in spring through to autumn.....and most orchids need to be pot bound to flower so don't rush to re-pot.
Good luck,
