End of the Unoin
In the event of Scotland gaining independence, what is the position of the Shetland Isles who for many years have claimed more affinity to Norway, with little feeling for Scotland.

Not exactly answering the question, I know, but if Scotland were to leave the Union it would be a great loss. Scottish regiments have formed a major part of the British army for many years and been fantastic front-line troops. I suggest you look at the record of the 51st Highland Division for a start. It is the shrill voice of the minority in Scotland that perhaps gives the impression that All Scotsmen hate the English. Simply not true.
