I'm not a kid anymore and don't have my own yet but i love buying presents for people and seeing how pleased they are when they open them! It's also great getting the whole family together, having a really nice meal, going out with people from the office and doing secret santas! We need something to look forward to in the middle of winter!
Just realised you are the guy on the B&S site about the lap dancing bar. Your poor girlfriend expected to go there with you and by the sounds of it won't get a prezzie for Christmas either!! Nightmare!!
I enjoy buying for the family but I am not keen on Christmas itself. I feel sorry for families who feel they have to invite relatifves when they really would prefer to spend it with just their immediate families. For the last few years, my husband and I have always visited the grandchildren on Christmas morning and then we go off to a restaurant or hotel for lunch and leave them to enjoy their family meal. I work with children and enjoy the run up to Christmas with them. Also I think it is the one day of the year which is difficult to forget especially for those living alone.
well sorry i love christmas i have two children and a partner who all love christmas but im the big kid really, yes its a commercial hype but if you keep the spirt going its fantastic dont let the pressure of it all get to you , my kids are lucky but others not so fortunate buy a present for one who gets nothing and youll feel an overwhelming feeling that gives you the buzz of what its really about........
hugginsc oh come on christmas is what you make of it, the look of delight on childrens faces when they open their presents, its priceless, granted the run up to xmas can be stressfull, but have you shopped online, its gr8, you can sit down with a cup of cofffee/tea/cigarette or what ever you prefer and just peruse at your leisure, i do must of my xmas shopping on line, and just go to the shops for stocking fillers.
