Here's a reply from a sophisticated Dublin girl: The golden rule is STAY AWAY FROM TEMPLE BAR! It's full to the brim of tourists and hen/stag nights. For dinner try Little Caesar's on Balfe St (or any of the other Italians off Grafton St). Cocoon in Duke Lane is a little pretentious, but has good DJs and a late bar. All the South William Street pubs (e.g. Ba Mizu, Spy, Viva, Dakota) are classy, fun, and populated mainly by Dubliners instead of other tourists. If you smoke, an outdoor heated area is essential, and D2 niteclub on Harcourt St has the best one in town. The club itself is fairly standard though. Otherwise your best bet is Lillies on Adam Court off Grafton St, but make sure you dress to impress. Please note, none of the above will let you in with the hen in a veil of if you're all wearing devil horns or matching tshirts!!! If it's THAT kind of night you're looking for head straight back down to Temple Bar! Hope that helps!!!!
