So this bloke Voisy with previous convictions for molesting children and now found guilty of the Kidnap and multiple rape of a little girl whom he later abandoned
naked in an alley, gets a minimum of 10 years. Will the Law never do Justice ?

I agree with nox ~ so much community work needs to be done (cleaning up graffiti, parks,roads etc) which at the moment our councils don't want to employ people for or spend any money on. Petty criminals should not be in prison.
Back to the guy in question. I agree he won't be out of prison. He will be in there for the rest of his days which of course begs the question..why say he will have a minimum of 10 years? the whole sentencing procedure needs a proper shake up. And life should mean for the rest of your days...not 15 years.

so if a life sentence isn't enough, would you prefer a death sentence? Some people posting on this thread obviously would.
This will leave your average child rapist thinking 'I've left her alive - but why bother? I might as well kill her, the penalty can't be any worse.' And he will.
That's why penalties are graded. Because crimes are different. Murder is more serious than rape. Treat them the same and rapists will have no disincentive to become murderers.
