Too much Sugar??
Hi There. Im 9weeks pregnant and I'm suffering really bad morning sickness (All day). The problem is, the only things I can stomach, are fizzy drinks, polos, boiled sweets, crisps etc etc, EVERYTHING that is bad for you although I do try and have a potatoe dinner in the evenings when I can manage it. I'm really worried that all this sugar and bad stuff is gonna go straight to baby or give me pregnancy diabetes. But the thing is, I just cant get through the day (work mornings and have my 2 and half year daughter the rest of the day) without a sweet in my mouth. Is this really damaging my baby/my health/not to mention my teeth?

I did the same-coke,polo mints and chips. No wonder my kids were hyper-active!!
Seriously though, I couldn't hold much down for the first three months, and then the only thing that helped with the sickness was constantly nibbling and sucking mints to take the horrible taste in my mouth away. I drank coke coz I couldn't stomach tea or cofee or much else.. My babies were both healthy but my gums did suffer during pregnancy! Make sure you get to the dentist regularly.

Hi
I was the same in my first pregnancy, and this one (now 16wks). With my daughter I'd have happily lived on coke, sweets and breakfast cereal! I did keep taking Pronatal vitamins the whole time though. I didn't get diabetes and my daughter was a not-too-big-or-small 6Lb 11oz. I wouldn't worry if I were you, listen to your body!
