Could be lots of reasons -

Has it always been this way or is this recent?
Does your PC meet the minimum spec?
Are your display drivers up to date?
Are you running out of disk space?

Generally speaking you need a PC with the recommended specification or above to get the best out of this kind of game. This is a fact of life with PC games, unfortunately.

Post your PC spec on here including graphics card type, amount of RAM, CPU type and speed etc.
