My female friend is needing to get her gall bladder out but doesn't wanna leave her kids for a week - what happens if she just leaves it? Or is there anything she can do to stop the pain? Thanks in advance

I know it's hard but they'll be fine for a week, whereas if she leaves it & becomes very ill it make take longer to recover.
I had my first and only gallstones in 1996 - I thought I was dying, the pain was that bad. (My pain was low on my back, and I thought my kidney was failing.) I was admitted to hospital on Thursday, had laproscopic surgery Friday and was home Saturday night. After 3 days of bedrest I was back in full swing. I cannot imagine delaying the surgery.
If one has children, it will never be a convenient time to be out of circulation. But how much good will she be if she's doubled over in pain?
