Warns = sounds the alarm, but you need to alter that as instructed before entering it in the grid. It's basically an anagram.
Crazy = wild and - with its tail 'd' cut off (detailed) - it's 'wil'...issue = son. Just put them together.
I haven't yet sussed the 'student' one.
