Birthday Parties

what type of parties usually tend to be popular???Do you find it is better to offer a church hall kind of party or a party at somewhere like Beefeater or Brewsters?...if the latter why do you prefer it??? Where offers best value for money and what are the features that make it popular??? Roughly how much would this sort of party cost??And what is the parents average spend per party?...do you have a ballpark limit??

I think it depends on a few things really, for example which age group it is for, and how many people you are expecting to have?
I'll try help you out if you could give some more details please.

You mention parents, so i'm guessing its for either children or teenagers, if its for the latter im sure i can definately help with only being 18 myself!

its a mixed party for a boy and girl both under the age of 11 so needs to have something to keep everyone happy!!! The kids have a busy schedule or parties but it would be nice to do something different for theirs.

i would expect 20-30 kids on the day

my two were at a party last year where instead of the usual entertainer doing stuff with ballons , they had this man who brought along birds and animals. Lots of cute ones like mice. rabbits and a duck but also giant cetipedes, tarantulas and a snake which children could have a shot a holding ( if they wanted too). It was great fun and really different, my girls still talk about it.
The advantage of a soft play organised party is that you don't actually have to do much and get to watch the fun rather than spending the whole time worrying about food, games etc.

I took my son and his friends to a dry ski slope/snowboarding place and they tobogganed in inflatable rings all afternoon and then had tea in the fake austrian chalet lol, all wrapped up in winter clothing, nice for this time of year :o)

Thanks for the added details.. I remember my best party as a kid was when my mum hired a bouncy castle out!
This does however depend on how big your garden is!

I wouldn't go for a church hall party because it's not very interesting, and you would have to come up with lots of things to keep them entertained!
What about going Bowling? or something a bit different like Ice skating? - there are quite a few temporary ice rink been put up at this time of year, though i can see this could get quite hectic with kids on ice! though i think some of the rinks you can hire for parties.

Or if you wanted to have a bit less of a party and it only to be for 'close friends' how about a day trip to a zoo, or a theme park? i remember my mum took me & 2 friends to blackpool pleasure beach one birthday was ace! lol.

Mcdonalds birthday parties are fun and i find all children whatever they are into tend to enjoy them!though might be slightly pricey?
