Strange Eczema like sores
1 Answers
I have suddently developed some itchy sores on the back of three fingers. I have never had any skin complaints before and I wondering if these will go. I have had them for a few weeks now. I am putting hydrocortisone cream on them and the itching has gone, but the red dry sores are still there. Many thanks in advance.

Many moons ago I suffered quite badly from psoriasis and had it quite bad on my hands. I used a tar based cream to ease it, the sores did almost dissapear, and thankfully I dont suffer any longer. I found using a sunbed completely got rid of the sores too. Although I appreciate there are health risks linked with this.
Other than that it could be Dermatitis. I beleive this is caused by cold weather and having your hands submerged in water for long periods of time. I also suffered from this when I did hairdressing for a while. Dont have much luck with my hands!
I hope this is of some use.
