If you aren't living together then yes, he will have to pay
towards supporting the child financially ~ if he has a job, it will be assessed on that but if he is on job seekers or income support then a small amount will be deducted from that. It all depends on whether you will get the CSA involved or do it all voluntarily.

The lady that posted the answer before is quite right, if he is working and you are not living togehter yes, if he is on JSA then I think they will deduct a percentage for the baby. I take it you are keeping the baby, have you spoke to your parents about this and how are both sides with this, you may well find that they are able to offer advice too. Not all adults are scary. x
moominmonsta at the moment I would not worry about that as you have more things to think of. Have you told your parents yet.? you are both very young ,is this really what you both want for your future.Support will have to be made but then why shouldnt it.? At the end of nine months there will be another mouth to feed and cloth ect. you will need money and support for all that, and for many years to come. Sit down and go through all the things you are worried about. But dont forget once a baby arrives it will be for ever you cannot send them back. Please talk to your mum. take care. love Brenda x

Oh moominmonsta bless you, my heart go's out to you. thank goodness mum now knows.I am so glad you have told her. Thankfully mum is understanding and will be there for you. Also it is lovely to hear your boyfriend and you are going to stay together. If mum says she will be there for you then all these questions you have about exams ect. will have to be talked over with her. Did you by any chance see the programme the other night about young mums.? I do hope you did as that would have given you a very good insight as to what the future holds. There was some young girls who made brillant mums,One even had twins and was on her own.So you know it can be done.Yes it will be hard work and things will never, ever be the same again for you as you are not the most important person now, baby must alwas come first and will, forever.! please keep in touch and if you ever need anyone to talk to than I am alwas here.you can have my email address if you would like it.? take care love Brenda xxx
