getting my money back on a postal order
7 Answers
Last November i joined BT but i had to send them 50 in order to join which i was told would be refunded after i had been with them a year. So i sent them a crossed 50 postal order and called them after about a week and they said yes they had recieved it and put my phone line on. I called them the other day because it has been a year and i havent recieved the 50 back and they said i would of had to pay the 50 to join but they do not the payment of 50 on file from me. I have found the counter foils but how do i find out if it has been cashed and if it hasnt been cashed could i get my money back after a year of a postal order laying dorment somewhere?

Is there any information of the back of the counterfoil?
I suggest you go to your post office to seek their advice on this.
You should be entitled to a refund from the PO if it hasn't been cashed, and a refund from BT if it has.

Theres no information at all on the back. That website is very frustrating, i called a number from there because i could find nothing and i spoke to some1 who said i needed a p58 form so i went to the post office and the women gave me a form she says was p58 but it doesnt say it on there, but it cant be the right form because its nothing to do with postal orders. She could not understand what i was trying to explain to her and was not very helpful and i still have no clue what the next step should be because the form she gave me is for people who have sent a letter that never arrived. I just need to know if it has been cashed or not, surely this shouldnt be so complicated to find out?
Hi, sorry i didn't reply the next day ive been busy but i called them and she couldnt check it because you have to put in a claim b4 they can check to see if the moneys been taken. But she told me to fill in the p58 form and altho the form i have doesnt mention postal orders...that is the form so i will fill it in and make a claim and then call them again if i don't hear anything. Thanks for your help.
