i have a "N" reg Astra, the main problem i have is the tempeture gauge keeps rising over 100 which results in the engine overheating. the hose is all running corectly. i think it could be the thermostat, but i cant find it, how would i go about finding it?? is there anybody out there that can help me.
I think its located behind the timing belt - i've had Corsa's that needed to have the thermostat changed and they are located behind the timing belt which has to be removed to gain access to it.
The Astra and Corsa are the same car basicallly except the bodywork and a few minor details.
If the timing belt is due to be cjhanged ( every40k ) it would be worth doing the two jobs at the same time.
