What is the name of the study that the people on wildlife documentaries have studied?
1 Answers
I'm thinking about what I want to study and I decided that I want to travel around Africa and Asia studying and teaching and helping lions, tigers and other wildlife. I want to do the same thing people on African wildlife documentaries do, like Saba Douglas-Hamilton. You know. when those people in the African wilderness and Asian jungles are on a 4 wheel drive car and they are talking about a lion or tiger behind them. What is the name of this study? Is it Zoology or something else?

Unless you are rich, you'll need to be sponsored or receive a grant. You'd most likely get this if you have a degree in zoology and have specialised in the species concerned. Wildlife study is not the glamour job as portrayed in documentaries, driving around in a 4-wheel drive is only a small part of it. It is hard work and sometimes dangerous. If this is your desire then by all means go for it, but be prepared for some disappoinments.
