I was on the contraceptive injection (Depo Provera) for about 3 and a half years. I came off it about 1 and a half years ago but my period still hasn't returned. My doctor said 6 months ago that it can take upto a year and a half. I'm now making another appointment to go see my doctor.
I've read that i will probably get sent for some tests. Has anyone else been through the same thing? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hey :) It took a long time for my body to readjust after being on it for years and I had quite a bad time coming off it as did some other people I know, I think my oestrogen levels were left low by it.

Tests could be helpful to make sure nothing else is going on to cause it.

Are you trying to concieve?

Hi, no i'm not trying to concieve. I came off it as i put on about 2 stone in weight. I was thinking about trying the contraceptive implant but i just wanted to let my body get back to normal before i tried anything else.
