Does anyone know if there is any cheat software or hardware for ps2 games that allows you to save at any point in the game. I hate it when you have to play a 30 minute level all the way to the end before you can save your position. Sometimes I like to have a quick play on a game for 10 mins or so without knowing that I will have to start from the beginnig of the level I'm on the next time I play.

it all depends on the game.some games work on checkpoint saves and some save anywhere.save anywhere removes the challenge a little i think !
not sure how it works these days but when I was a nipper I had a spectrum which had a device called actionreplay which plugged in the back, it basically stored the memory of you game at any moment so effectively did what you want, but modern computers are a little different and I don't think the same principle will work. But you can get similar devices for the PS2 check them out.
