Hi, any suggestions as to why my ignition light glows dimly and does not change whether the engine is running or not and is the same with alternator removed. Alternator ihas been checked as fine.

your '92 escort wiring harness is WELL past it's sell by date. Anything that works should be considered a bonus!! Seriously electrics on these cars were truly notoriously bad. Not worth spending money on
