Housetraining
I have a 5 year old staffy cross collie. She is housetrained but goes through certain stages where she poos and wees on the lounge carpet. We have tried locking her out of the lounge, but she then scratches the doors from the kitchen! Any ideas of how to stop her. We have just had a new lounge carpet (cream) which she is wrecking!

Did you originally house train her on newspaper?
Is the lounge the only place she toilets in in the house?
Is it in a certain place in the lounge?
At five years old she should be fully housetrained. Could there be anything physically wrong with her? Is there anything triggering this behaviour? Like a new addition to the house or something?.

Hi Kita, she did used to do it on rare occasions before we put the new carpet down. It is always in the same place aswell. She was originally trained on newspaper aswell.
I cant think of anything that would trigger her to do it, there is nothing physical wrong with her. She gets took for a walk before we leave for work and then again when we get home, so its not like she isnt exercised either.
Thanks for the tip on the website, i will have a look
