I bought a string of icicle lights for outdoor use from B and Q. The bulbs are not repleaceable, I realised that when I bought them but assumed they would last a decent amount of time. After one week of them being on for a couple of hours an evening, more than 50% of the bulbs are gone. Do you think I would be justified in taking them back, or am I expecting too much?

100% yes yes yes take them back!

Doesn't consumer rights allow 12months standard for returning faulty goods.

Def. take then back and try and get one that your can change the bulbs because I would hate you to have the problem again they must be really poorly made - explain this to them to try and get a different type.

But most likely they will just swap them.
To right your justified in taking them back, and don`t think they`d argue about giving you a full refund either
They are not fit for their intended purchase - Sale of Goods Act.

Take them back and retailer is oblidged to refund you or replace them.

Big row with B and Q who wanted to give me a credit note - but I stuck to my guns and got a refund. Now got a better set for half the price from Homebase.
