Yes.
All mammals do - it connected them to the placenta when they were in the womb.
um following on from this, I have always wondered (in my darker hours!) how each pup in the womb receives nutrition. Is there one umbilical cord for each pup? Because surely that's how the belly button is created?
Sorry and thank you! Lisa.
Yes each pup has its own cord, which is joined to the afterbirth which surrounds the pup in the womb. This is how they get their nutrition, and if the bitch does not break the cord, then the owner has to do it, usually by pinching it between finger and thumb and tearing it, as a rough tear is better than a neat cut with scissors. Within a few hours after the birth the cord that is left attached to the pup shrivels up and drops off near to the pups belly. Sometimes the cord is caught up and pulled, and can cause an umbilical hernia, which is seen as a little lump on the tummy. They can be operated on to treat these., but some have them all their lives without any problems.
Even Kangaroos have bellybuttons, and their babies are only one inch or so when they are born.

Birds, reptiles and fish also have navels. They all get their nourichment through an umbilical cord that is either connected to a placenta or yolk.
All mammals - except duck billed platypus!
yes its what there umbillicle cord was attached to
