would fried rice be acceptable as a Xmas party food? and if so, how would you rewarm or keep it warm?

I wouldn't have a problem with it as party food - anything goes these days.

However, be careful keeping it warm or reheating it, as you can get food poisoning from it.

NOOOOO please don't even think about it.... I thought it was a good idea but you would be surprised how few people can actually manage to get just a few grains from plate to mouth. Be honest... when you are sitting down eating a bits of rice always make it to your lap.... now take away the lap. See what I mean?

Nothing wrong with egg fried rice.....

to reaheat just sprinkle with water (only if it looks dried out) and in the microwave just to heat up.
