New system annoying problem.

My needle on my boiler gauge is at just above the number 1 is this normal my heating of my radiators are working just great but I tried to run a bath tonight and the tap keeps running hot then tepid and wasting a lot of unneccessary water. Hence had half a bath full of tepid water that should of been hot!!.....I switched off the economy button to see if that would make a major difference but no still the same. I'd of thought with my heating works really well that my water would be piping hot too. My taps in my kitchen and bathroom sink get really hot water the problem seems to lie when we need to run a lot more water like running a bath thats when its not successful. You can't walk away when running the bath because of the water temparture changing drastically. The system was only fitted in June this year so its a New System. Its a Worcester Bosch Boiler.

the number 1 on your boiler gauge is your pressure try putting your pressure to 1and half (no more) these measurements are in bars to put more pressure on just under your boiler there will be a flexible pipe with open and shut valves just open the vales with a screwdriver or some are hand turned and fill up to 1and a half bar if you put to much in don't worry you can take out the axcece pressure by bleeding your radiator good luck

The pressure should be set at 1 Bar plus 0.1 of a Bar, for every extra full meter of head when static and cold. But this will have nothing to do with the hot water problem. As it would still work fine even if there were only 0.75 Bar in the system. If you have a system boiler then it is probably an undersized storage unit or the cylinder stat has not been set to 60 degrees or it is a faulty cylinder stat.

Or if you have a Combination boiler then it is probably not big enough for your hot water demands. Or a faulty thermistor. or even poor installation and commisiong proceedures.

Either way it is under warrenty and you should be calling the installers back to check it out, or phone the manufactures aftersales team and ask for them to take a look at it.

thanks everyone for your responses.....will have to get them back to look at my boiler its has only been fitted 6 months ago oh well at least its still under guarantee many thanks:)
