spreding xmas cheer! plz help!!
'i want to help out at my local soup kitchen etc on xmas eve or charity work to help sped the xmas cheer to people who don't have as much as us'
i think its a really lovely idea and would be fantastic help- but i don't know how to get involved?!?!
is there a website or something where we could find out about it??

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Usually these places would advertise locally (they do round by me), but I would suggest contacted yur local street services team or the local council's homelessness team who could point you in the right direction. Otherwise use yellow pages to call the place direct, they often only open a few hours per day so it's worth ringing beforehand.
I think it is a lovely gesture, good for you, once you have done it you may want to make it more regular (once per fortnight . month, etc). Hostels are always crying out for volunteers. Have a lovely Christmas, hope Santa brings you something nice

Get in touch asap as i know our local soup kitchen has a training session and does checks and such for people who want to volunteer.
