Tattoo on your foot?

my friend has one and she also cried, says it was the most painful thing ever!

My Ma has one across the front of her ankle and the top of her foot. She said it was the most painful of hers, but it looks quite nice (an orchid)

I have a tattoo on my big toe and yes it was quite painful but on the plus side it is only a small area below the nail so it did'nt take long.

Just what i thought ...... it's meant to be one of the most painful places to have a tattoo! Thank u for your answer people :o) i'm thinking of havng a tattoo right below the ankle above the ball of the foot ...... i think i'm nuts!!

i have a friend with her toe done, and another with one on her foot and whilst they both said it smarted they didn't cry.

Its because of the lack of muscle and fat (generally) that makes this area more painfull than say your arm of back.

Yeah, I've go one just below my ankle bone in the kind of hollow between the ankle bone and the heel. I thought it wasn't too bad at all and was expecting much worse as I had been told it was the most painful place, and this was my first tattoo. My girlfriend liked it and got a different tattoo, but it the same place. She did squirm a little, but she was fine. Go for it, at least is an interesting experience.

'ello Fast71uk ...... just below the ankle bone and above the ball of the foot is exactly where i want my tattoo too! Thanks foor the advice :o) i'm really considering gettin it done before the summer as i wear flip flops a lot so wont have to wear trainers when it's healing! Did u have much problem with the healing of the tattoo? Do u have any pics online? T x

I have had both of my feet tattooed one was even touched up yesterday. It hurt but I can't compare it to any other places because these are my only two. The Pain s definatly worth it in the end. I would do it if I were you!!!

I'm looking into getting one tomorrow. Actually two technically - one on each foot. Two sparrows/swallows with a banner that carries accross. Hoping it doesn't kill but my other one didn't hurt at all.

im thinking about getting one in the center of the top of my foot. its only going to be about the size of a quarter and all black, but i have heard that they fade pretty bad. is the pain and fading still worth it or should i look for another place to do it? has anyone had one stay in good shape on their foot? thanks for the help

i did it! dont let the pain scare you away. it hurts for sure but its very bearable ( i know i didnt spell that right). get yourself a lolly-pop and engage in a conversation the whole time and you will be fine. dont let the artists talk you out of doing one on your foot either. if you want it go for it! so worth it!
