Harry Potter adult editions

I recently saw a box set of 4 Harry Potter books marked 'adult editions'. How are these different from the originals, if at all?

The have a more sophisticated cover so everybody on the train doesnt know your only able to read kids books.

I remember the first time I ever heard of JK Rowling was a few months after the first Harry Potter book came out and although it hadn't been an instant smash with children, it had gained a cult following among adults, so the publishers had decided to go more for that market and reissued it with a more grown-up cover (the one with the photo of a steam train instead of the cartoon illustration). It was only afterwards that it started to become the phenomenon that has grown to irritate the hell out of us today.

I don't really agree with giff. Considering the size of The Goblet of Fire (and presumbably The Order of the Phoenix) they must be harder to read than quite a few adult books.

The news of the world is thicker than the Times (not the sunday times) therefore the news of the world must be more difficult to read. I think not. I was only joking, dont judge a book by its cover perhaps they should change it to dont judge a book by its thickness.

So, not different at all! I see there is soon to be an adult edition of Harry Potter 5. As harry and co. will now be 16, perhaps the adult edition will be more interesting...
