wii memory card

Do i need to buy a memory card for the games on the wii?

Ive bought my boyfriend a wii and 2 games (play and zelda) for xmas. The sales assistants in woolies werent sure if he would require a memory card or not as they thought the wii had a built in memory.

Can anyone advise?

It should say on the box what the exact contents are but if one isnt included cards can be picked up very cheaply nowadays eg 1 gig more than enough for game saves is �18 online.

It has a small amount of built in memory so dont worry immediately, but make it a "soon" purchase as it won't last long..

thanks guys, so woolies were right and i dont have to have one just yet. Good job really as they wanted �40 in store and after buying the console and the games and the extra controllers money was a bit tight lol

Don't bother with the offical Nintendo Wii memory cards, just buy a cheap SD card which works fine.
