Yes.. I am on my own ..my men are off to Germany to see my family there .My MIL is very ill with blood cancer .I can't go because
A The dog ....very old and also poorly and I can't put him in kennels .
B We had damage to our house during the horrendous floods back in late August and water came through the roof into the kitchen and flooded us out. Still not fixed yet so can't go and leave it.
I am going out to lunch however with my brothers and families .It's only a few days and I am hoping to go over to Germany and see my MIL and eldest son in the New Year.

It certainly is. I had to ajust the Y word. I had the spelling wrong, probably copied it wrongly. But it is a good feeling ehn it all goes in. I should have more time to spend on the next one. :-)

Well I hope you have a good time anyway shaney. I will try to get on here for a short while - I will be at my sons for Christmas and we are going to Istanbul for the New Year. Staying with my sons In laws. Something different, we usually sit in New Year - don't like it much. Jools

I'm having a terrible time trying to fit in 9-letter words. I guess I've gone wrong somewhere and I also noticed that I'm working with 2 short. The compiler in the H clue and Norfolk's largest parish in the U clue. Since the H clue is a 9-letter one it might help me.
Last question for now: Where does the word Coquilles fit in?

The Compiler in clue H is - Hugh Munro
The U clue is - Upwell
Coquilles goes in the left grid it's a down clue 6 in from the left and 6 down from the top - I hope that helps.

I hope you have a good Chistmas and New Year. I am of to my sons today for Christmas then to Istanbul for the New Year so won't be about. If you still need help I will be back after New Year. Jools
