Its probably a daft question, but what can you put in the box with magazines and newspapers to be recycled?

Hi 888sally888
don't your council send you a booklet of what you can put in the box,
my council prints on the box what is acceptable,
contact your council or try their website.
all councils have different ideas.

Good thinking!!

Will go on their website now.
We also put in cardboard boxes from cereals, etc. envelopes (once we've torn of the name & address part to prevent identity theft) and empty toilet roll carboard holders.
We have a green wheelie into which we put the usual newspapers etc but we are also allowed (and I say that tongue in cheek ) to put in ...
Paper - , junk mail, letters and computer paper etc but no envelopes or shredded paper.
Cardboard - Cereal or other food boxes, egg boxes, toilet roll middles etc)
Plastic Bottles- Milk, squash, bleach, or shampoo bottles, etc .Must all be washed first.
Metal Cans - Steel or aluminium food or drink cans etc ..all to washed yet again.
Empty Aerosol Cans - Deodorants, air fresheners etc but not the tops .
Absolutely no yogurt or margarine tubs .
Laughable !!
I would contact your local council and see if they are as fussy as ours !
