I live in a one bedroom flat & have a 6 year old African Grey. I missed cleaning him for one week, and now have a problem with fruit flies! A mouldy banana seems to be the culprit. Anyway, how do I get rid of them? I have bleached the kitchen & given his cage a spring clean, but can't spray anything for obvious reasons. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

One Week !!!!!!
I'm not surprised you had fruit flies.....anyway, funnily enough a ripe banana is a good way to get rid of them, put some banana in a jam jar or similar with a funnel or cone shaped piece of card in the top, the flies will go in for the banana and not come out (providing you don't leave it too long!)
