Why does my PC freeze when I scroll down web pages?

Hi Beefy,

You may have too many applications running at once, and this can slow down you PC, try closing all the window that you don't need when your working on a particular page.

Another reason for this maybe that the page you are view has a lot of pictures in it. This means that it may take a while for the page to come up.

The only solution maybe to invest in a faster modem.

in IE 5.0 and up there is an option to turn off smooth scrolling uncheck it and it will cure it esp. if you are using a wheel mouse
Or your graphics card may be getting too much to do. Try a visit to the maker's website to check for software updates as a first step. And if that doesn't do it, turn your accelerator function down a notch.
