Turkey soup anyone?

A curry in the making thanks to BBWChatt's recipe......kilos of sliced turkey in the freezer.....turkey carcass now stewing making umpteen gallons of turkey soup. Anyone care to join me for a soup ABers canteen type of thingy? Moral is never buy a big bird. Next year I'll buy a pigeon. Oh its Ratters Birthday! He's bound to want a lot of soup so I'll send him some, heh

When you start taking out turkey to go in all kinds of recipes that you used to have to cook chicken to go in - you will fall in love with having all that frozen turkey!!! I ALWAYS buy the biggest turkey I can find - just so I will have cubed turkey for the freezer!!!

I'm tongue in cheek with your excitable reply because I am a bit fed up with turkey right now. However, I have opened the freezer and talked to all the diced, sliced, and pureed versions of the turkey and I have been telling the remains frozen remains that I will fall in love with it eventually.

lol zimzam - ok, give it a month or two - and one day when you come home from work super tired and super hungry - and all you have to do is drag some turkey out of the freezer and make some rice and veggies, etc. to go with it and you have an instant, tasty healthy dinner - the love will happen:) You know I am an old lady and over the years I have learned that it is the small things like that - that make SOME of the difficult days bearable:)
