lite-on dvd recorder
2 Answers
My son has bought me the above and I have mastered editing and merging etc but try as I might I cannot prepare the blank DVDs in long play mode - say 4hrs or 6 hrs. Can anyone advise me preferably in plain English as I am obviously not too technically minded, I have tried following the instruction booklet but to no avail. I am using Maxell DVD+RW 120 min discs. Thanks in advance.

I don't have to prepare the disks - I have to set the recording mode within the dvd settings before recording - the modes are 1 hour (for highest quality), 2 hour and so on to 8 hour (the lowest quality.
So I could get 8 hours of low quality onto one disk - provided I recorded in the 8 mode.
I hope this is helpful, and apologies if not.

Hi,
I have an LVW-5045 HDD and DVD Recorder made by LiteOn and I have just finished copying from my Sky+ digibox in the EP mode(4 hours).
Firstly, if the DVD has not been recorded previously when you insert it into the recorder it will take a few seconds to prepare it. Then, select Guider on the remote, then Record, Enter, TV, Front AV, Scart or DVD then Enter, select DVD then Enter, select EP(4 hrs) or SLP(6 hrs) then Enter, then Enter to start recording.
