broken fingernail.........
12 Answers
whilst oiling me bike chain i managed to get me pointer finger trapped in between me chain and sprocket, after much throbbing, blood and pain, i have cut the finger and snapped the nail across middle, which i now seem to keep catching, although the top half is firmly attatched, how apart from plasters can i stop it catching, i thought of nail varnish but can only find the missus's bright pink or scarlet red...............

Think your best bet is the plaster til the nail grows a bit then cut it off. You could try that plaster in a can but again - depth of pain intense. I sprayed my husbands toe when he cut it open on a swimming pool once - did make us laugh but still don't think he's forgiven me!!
Or is this one of your jokes and you really want to know which colour nail varnish you should wear tonight - in which case - the pink of course.
:o)

Hi
You could try a thin coating of brush on nail glue. This will seal and cover the split on a temp basis. You need to make sure it is the brush on type - Elegant Touch is one brand -avail from all chemist and some supermarkets
I have used this many time, especially when the splt s high up the nail bed. It shouldnt sting either.
