2. Substitute sweets for fruit - and don't just buy boring everyday fruits...try some of the weird looking ones that no-one knows what to do with.
3. Switch from frying meat to grilling.
4. A piece of cake is better than a bag of sweets. Cakes has a beginning, middle and end...and then it's finished. Sweets go on forever ("I'll just have one more"...etc etc).
5. Exersize if deathly boring unless you choose something you actually enjoy. For instance, I hate swimming, but I love to run with my iPod on. That's how I exercise - ask yourself what calorie-burning activity you enjoy (yes, even that can be included.

Someting I'm going to do is to have porridge in the morning, a thick fruit smoothie for lunch (homemade, banana, watermelon and strawberries) and fresh homemade soup for supper (without bread as it bloats me) and do this one day cleansing detox day every week.
Also, substitute any tea or coffee with organic green tea with Ginko Bilboa, hot water and fresh lemon or miso soup, which can be bought from oriental stores.
A one-day fruit nd veg only detox day.... apart from my porridge, but I might stretch this to two.

Another excellent piece of advice from Jeanette.
Porridge in the morning is excellent as it contains complex carbohydrates which the body synthesises into sugars very slowly...in English, it means it's an excellent source of enerygy which keeps you alert and feeling full for the whole morning...
Just make sure you check the packaging because some brands add loads of sugar and salt.
...and don't do what my mum used to do with our Ready Brek, which was to smother it with sugar, and add some cream to the top for extra measure.

I have turned veggie and have embarked on a healthier diet this year. I am pretty healthy at the moment already but want to get much much fitter. In a bid to lose a few lbs and turn it into muscle I have gone organic. I have ordered a big box of organic fruit and veg to be delivered to my door every week. This way I won't need to nip to the supermarket so often and be tempted by the BOGOF offers, and I will definatly eat all the veggies in the box as I don't want to waste any money. http://www.riverford.co.uk/
Also whenever I read the how to loose weight articles they always stress the importance of drinking loads of WATER, off to the water dispenser for me.....
