My mum and dad have been invited to a fancy dress party and the theme is "revolution". now this can mean any revolution and my mum wants original ideas about what her and my dad can go as - anyone got any good ones?

Dress as Mexican bandits? The countries of South America were notorious for revolutions, and the people all tended to dress in much the same way.

Don't know how old your parents are - but, your dad could go as Robert Lyndsay's character Citizen 'Wolfie' Smith from the 70's sit-com Citizen Smith.

Green army shirt / jacket over a Che Guevara T-shirt (or one emblazoned Freedom For Tooting !!) and topped off with a beret.
