Bank closing your account?

Im looking to get some charges back from my bank, when I mentioned this to them they said they may close my account then, if they did this would it affect my credit? im thinking should I open an account now with another bank incase this bank close mine down and it affects me opening another one?

There is nothing to stop your bank closing your account at any time. You have no right to prevent them from doing this. It might be worth opening another account now so you are prepared if it happens, but the closure would not normally have any effect on your credit rating.
