After 5 hours or so, still stuck on two: 23d Pom's annoyance, wasting time in test venue ---s'a'e 27a Water channel run from the French court 4,4 something duct??? Answered many clues but still don't understand the reasoning. Many thanks. R.

Out of interest, just how long does it take you to complete this particular crossword? Apart from the D. Tel . daily cryptic, which I have attempted for years, with varying success, I only discovered this Times Jumbo a year ago. Can only attempt in the winter, as don't have time in other seasons, as I am a gardener.

Hello R. Today's crossword took me about 15minutes which is average. I do the Telegraph cryptic in clue order but that is not possible with the Jumbo -especially with it's long clues!
I enjoy the Sunday Azed,Mephisto and Beelzebub puzzles.
