I can thoroughly recommend Gawab. It's an Egyptian based free webmail service which (unlike most other free webmail providers) also offers SMTP/POP3 access (so that you can use an e-mail client like Outlook).
Gawab allows you to sign up as many times as you like (so you can have multiple e-mail addresses). You can choose to use the default (gawab.com) domain name or pick one of many others. (I've got several accounts using alex4all.com). While there's never any need for you to log into the web-based service, it does allow you access to additional facilities, such as setting up 'auto-responder' replies.
Gawab's home page is here:

Setting up a new account is very simple (I recommend starting by clicking the 'More Cities & Countries' link) but, if you want to use Outlook with the account, you'll need to read the instructions which are hidden away under the 'Features' tab, at the top of the page. (Click 'POP/SMTP').
