Second guess

Does anyone find this particular americanism useful, or, like me, just annoying. It means guess, or anticipate, etc., and I find it an imprecise and therefore useless phrase.

Generally speaking, though all americanisms are annoying as they remind us of the existence of americans. (Yes Im being deliberately provocative. No I dont really mean it, its just americans are so cute when they are angry.)
