Composite VIdeo Signal

OK then, hopefully not too tuff!! WHat i am looking to do is to be able to create a program so that i can enter a piece of text / picture (text is satisfactory) that will be recreated as a composite video signal (via parallel port) to display on a television!! thanx for help!! DIgital to analogue converters i can easily build as i assume this will be needed to take outputs from 8 ports to the one composite!!

via the parallel port????? it wouldnt have the bandwidth would it? Besides you'd need some sort of genlock software wouldnt you? to get the timings right?
