I have a formal "do" to go to on saturday night and was wondering what foods I could eat during the day that won't bloat me for that night?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Make sure you drink lots of water to flush your system through minimise water retention. The night before have a glass of hot water and lemon before you go to bed and again when you get up in the morning.
You could make some of your own watercress soup which is very yummy and good for not bloating up. You could have a mug or bowl through the day when you feel hungry, just heat in the microwave. It's only a quick fix though.
If you have a blender you could also make some gorgeous fresh fruit smoothies to drink and grapes are great to snack on.
A nice swim would be good for a gentle tone up, maybe a steamroom or sauna after which should leave you feeling fab and give you a nice glow.
