There's a steam room at my local pool - what are the health benefits of going in there? How long should I go in there for to benefit from it? and should I go in there before or after my swim?

Thanks for any advice,

hi ive been in a steam room before and its abit like a sauna but very very hot and as you may guess very steamy. lol it unclogs your pores and gets all the muck out. but dont stay in there to long. the one i went into said no more then 10-20mins and you have to drink plenty of water before and after you go in. and if you start to feel dizzy then come out straight away. and you will need a shower after cos it makes you sweat like a pig lol. im not sure what will be best about swimming. id say maybe go for a swim after so it relaxies your muscles slower through the heat of the pool. but if you have doubts ask someone who works there.
