I've heard that when you are depressed you loose weight - and i've got a few things going on at the moment. Recently i've not had much of an appetite and just keep losing weight, could this be why?

This could be making you feel worse if your body is lacking in energy and the vital nutrients and such it needs.
How much weight have you lost and over what period of time, have you any other symptoms or other things which could be causing or contributing to it?
It might help to know what and how much (or little) you're eating on a daily basis at the moment.
If you've lost a lot of weight over a short period with no correllating factors such as eating far less or have other symptoms then get yourself checked out by a doctor just to make sure everything is ok.
If you're also struggling to eat a normal amount then may be worth a chat with him about ways you can make sure your body is being looked after properly.
In general I'd say make sure what you do eat is good fresh wholesome food which will give your body what it needs to run on and make sure you're getting plenty of fluids.
If you find it hard eating large meals then how about getting some nice cup a soups you can sip instead of a tea of coffee or make a good amount of nice fresh homemade wholesome soups you can store and have when needed. '
Is there anyone you can talk too about what's on your mind? Anyone who can help which may take some of the worry and pressure off?
Look after yourseld and hope you're feeling better soon :) x

Thanks for your time and comments. I drink a lot (of water) so i don't think i am lacking in fluids. I've been sleeping about an hour or two more a night than i used to as well. In the last 2weeks i've probably lost almost a stone , but previously have kept quite a constant weight (and a healthy appetite!) I don't really feel i've got anyone to speak to.
That's a huge amount to lose in a couple of weeks hon.
Do you think you could get soups down, even drink then in a mug like you'd hav tea or coffee?
Or fruit smoothies or build up drinks?
Make your cereal something wholesome like some nice porridge maybe with some fruit in it. On toast you could put something like martmite on it to get some vitamins in you.
A decent multivitamin could help as well.
May be worth popping in to see your gp to have a chat with them and may be good to get things off your chest too :)
I hope things get better for you soon and there are some great people around on here if you need a chat about anything or some support or cheering up.
