Struggling with the following, so help appreciated.
49. Wigan second row forward (4) 56. Former Wimbledon player at USA94 (6) 79. Jewels cocktail (1,1,4) 90. Homosexual (6,4) 95. One from Burnley (6) 108. Nanny agency in East Sheen (9) 118. No nonsense!! (4,6)
56. Terry Phelan was a former Wimbledon player at the 1994 USA World Cup, playing for the Republic of Ireland. Not sure of the link to drinks, though, if that's what is required.
Thank you Argee2 and Feedthe goat9 - Sport isn't my thing and I only know of Aston Villa who play in claret and blue. Thank you too for your answers salty and snotneck, but I can't link them into drinks.
Just a suggestion, there is a Nanny agency in East Sheen called applejack and applejack is an apple brandy. A bit obscure, but if you don't come up with anything else it might be possible.
Laticsfan - since you compiled the quiz - Can you confirm that No.65 is 10 letters as my answer has only one D (not DD) in it?!! (So making 9 letters and not 10)
Many thanks
Number 65 - the answer can have 9 or 10 letters in it!!!!!!!
The most popular brand of this name has only got 9; although I have seen a variant spelling with a double letter, containing 10.
One of the ABers above has already queried this.
Either 9 letter or 10 letter answer will be accepted as long as they are the right ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It does not however contain a 'D' or a 'DD'!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure why you think it is naughty that people are asking thats what this site is for.
So many have been puzzled by the lack of the letter d which you said several times in fact I abandoned it
After being thoroughly confused, I've given up and gone back to my original thought on No.65 as Budweiser. Many thanks for the help on AB - as Smouse says, that's what we do on AB.
