Radiation is energy being transmitted in the form of rays or waves or particles.

Fission is a process of particles colliding and breaking apart, releasing energy in the form of radiation.

Fusion is a process of particles colliding and fusing together to form more massive particles and in so doing releasing energy in the form of radiation
